Yassas.com, the vertical electronic market for the supplies of the hospitality industry, is successfully covering its 3rd year of operation. Till today, 100,000 transactions have taken place, the value of which has exceeded € 70 millions. Our members number 2000. Many well known hotels remain buyers of the e-market. Among them are the followings: Novotel, Rhodes Hilton, Port Karras, Oscar Hotels, Kypriotis Hotels, Athina Palace, Star Beach and many others.

E - BUSSINESS IN GREECE
This is the title of scientific supervision of Dr Poloudi, assistant professor of Economics University of Athens.
The study through selected cases of Greek companies of most optimal practice, presents to us analytically 5 providers-examples, which are active in the Internet world. This study, examines the situation and the prospects of e-marketplaces in Greece.
Research's scope is to use these cases in order to present the possibilities that exist in our country regarding the exploitation of technology, of information technology and Internet, in regard to support electronic transactions (electronic trade, e - commerce), even also to support almost everything related with the electronic support of activities and flow of information via the use of networks.
The choice was based on two basic criteria: firstly the company should be recognized by the quality of services that offers and secondly, each case should represent a different sector of activity or enterprising model that is supported electronically
One of the companies that are reported in the supervision of Dr. Poloudi is the electronic marketplace of YASSAS. COM.
An extensive description of 23 pages gives a complete company's analysis from the first day of its foundation.
There are mentioned the proposed solutions that YASSAS. COM gives, solving problems that the traditional supplies channels have till now - solutions given to suppliers and buyers that are up to 2000 members.
It is also important that the research analyse the architecture of system, our strategic objectives, while the company focuses in a size of work of order over € 175 millions till 2005, as well as the sources of transaction's income in the two years of operation reached the 66.000.
Other income sources, which are reported, are on line and off - line advertisement, as well as value added services that are provided by the company in buyers and suppliers.
As a conclusion of her study Dr. Poloudi remarks the consolidation of YASSAS. COM in the Greek market, pointing out that our main concern is the extension out of the Greece borders, focusing at the wider Mediterranean market with similar particularities with Greece.
Others companies what are reported in the study are: IKEK (Electronic Centre of Trade Cyclades), TAXIS net, ONIA NET, and WIN BANK.

SECOND YEAR OF SUCCESS FOR YASSAS.COM
Yassas.com, the vertical B2B e-marketplace for the procurement needs of the hospitality industry, successfully covers the second year of its operations. Until now, the value of the 50.000 transactions, that have been realized, surpassed the 30millions €. It is expected that by the end of the year, the value of transactions will reach the 45millions €.
The registered members of Yassas.com became 2.000. Some of the biggest names in the hotel industry have been added in Yassas.com, such us: Novotel, Rhodes Hilton Resort, Porto Carras, Oscar Hotels, Kypriotis Hotels, Atrium Ahina Palace, Star Beach and many others.

YASSAS.COM IN ELECTRONIC PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN SEMINAR
During the 3rd International Executive Seminar with subject ”Electronic procurement and supply chain” that is organized by the Athens University of Economics and Business, Yassas.com, the B2B e-marketplace for the procurement needs of the hospitality industry, will be presented among the most successful Greek e-marketplaces.
The presentation of Yassas.com with subjects "Transforming a marketplace to BCR" (Business Services Provider), will refer to the effectiveness of an e- marketplace in the supply chain of the participants.
Moreover the Value-added services that Yassas.com offers, will be presented.
Such services are:
- Business Intelligence and more specifically the
planning, implementation and management of databases
for the optimization of business decisions.
- The ERC integration for the most effective management
of the supply chain and the distribution channel.
- The Collaborative Planning Forecasting and Replenishment
for the sales monitoring and the stock management.

€ 20.000.000 VALUE OF TRANSACTIONS IN ONE YEAR OF OPERATION OF YASSAS.COM
Just in one year of operation Yassas.com, the vertical electronic B2B marketplace that operates in the field of hotel, catering, hospital and shipping companies procurement, has presented unique results for the Greek internet marketplace.
With a total of € 20.000.000 (7 billions of Drs) value of transactions, Yassas is considered to be in the first places of the successful e-marketplaces, not only in Greece but also in Europe.
Up to now more than 1.400 members have registered: 650 buyers (hotels, caterings, restaurants, hospitals, shipping companies) and 800 suppliers. With a database of 200.000 products, cover the whole range of needs with regards to hotel supplies, from basic products such as food, beverages and consumer goods, to furniture, room equipment, electromechanical and hotel equipment. In our list of suppliers, special collaborate of big companies that serve the local market of province, are included.

XENIA EXHIBITION
Yassas.com for the second year will participate to XENIA, one of the largest exhibitions of the international tourism industry that is taking place in our country.
The official results of the first year of Yassas.com will be presented in our stand, no. D60. Visitors, will be introduced to Yassas.com e-marketplace, by submitting orders in a demo environment. Yassas team will be at your service to analyze the offered services and answer to all your questions.
The most awarded institution of the international tourism industry in our country will take place from the 25th until the 28th of January in the exhibition center of OLP in Piraeus, covering an area of 23.000 m2 .
The great contribution of XENIA to the organization, the equipment and the operation of the new hospitality units, and the renovation of the old ones, is being recognized this year more than ever, due to the Olympic Games of 2004.

Yassas.com, the first vertical e-marketplace in Greece
, loyal to their philosophy of offering high quality
services to their members , both buyers and suppliers,
proceeded to the publication of Yassas magazine.
Through the magazine, the company aims to inform and
advice the buyers (hotels, caterings, restaurant,
hospitals, shipping companies) on purchasing topics.
Concerning the suppliers, the magazine will constitute
an additional tool for an effective promotion via
Yassas.com.
Yassas magazine will be published quarterly covering
the periods in which the buyers make their purchasing
decisions. It will be sent free of charge to 10.000
locations, all over Greece, reaching people that are
responsible of such kind of decisions, (ie General
managers, F&B managers, purchasing managers).
The first issue was published at the beginning of
July, while the second will be ready in the middle
